How did Ezekiel prophecy to those in Israel if he was in Babylon?
Israel, the ten tribes other than Judah and Benjamin, were captured by Assyria about 100 years prior to the other two tribes being carried away to Babylon. The southern kingdom (the Davidic kingdom) were with Ezekiel in Babylon. The other teo tribes of northern Israel, collectively known as Israel were in the process of being scattered. However, there was a remnant of those tribes that had remained with the Jews in the southern kingdom. Also, a prophet did not have to be collocated with the object of his prophecy (not that Ezekiel was not).
