When the sitters try to leave, they notice that the chain on the driveway isn't closed even though they could have sworn they locked it. The mother sitter notices something in the ditch and goes to look. The girl asks what it is, but the mother says it's nothing. It's actually their car because they had been run off the road by a truck when they arrived. The psychic had told them that there are three kinds of ghosts: The ones that pass, the ones that don't know they're dead and the ones that choose to stay for some reason (I don't think that's an accurate quote). I am studying to become a Zoologist. I have dissected many animals (Pigs, frogs, worms, etc.) I've impaled thousands of beetles on pins that were killed for research, I've studied animals in captivity (working at a zoo on an internship) and I will continue to perform non-vegan activities for the rest of my life (probably). Is this unacceptable? If I live as a vegan in every way except professionally, could I still call myself vegan?

They might not breed in captivity because they could be stressed or unhappy, the environment is not natural so they may feel it unsafe breeding, in nature being pregnant or looking after the young puts you more at risk from predators so its important that they feel safe, birds for example nest high up in trees or cliffs not in bird cages. Also being in captivity they may not have learned all the skills that they would have acquired in the wild, including mating rituals etc. Oh and I've just learnt that goldfish like to eat their own eggs and baby goldfish which is an example of why goldfish don't breed successfully in a goldfish tank.

I love writing books so I'm defiantly going to help you. (: Okay, well I feel the brother's name should be an average name like Sam or a name that isn't very tough (even though he is a jock). For example, Brock or Tank would be a tough name, but then again that wouldn't really make sense in the story... Any who, the little sister... maybe her name could be a "tougher" name. Not like Lilly or Mary, but Joan (i know it sounds old), Olive (my favorite our of these), or possibly Shelby. The Father's name should be an older one, not one that you hear now a days, but not one that was super duper old. Between the 18th and 19th century. Here are some examples: Gerald, Cornelius (my favorite!), or maybe Richard (I know, its not THAT old haha). So for the girl he falls in love with (Oh my!) I think her name should be an "average" one too, but more stern (you will understand why later). I'm sure you can figure out what the girl's name could be, so I'd better rap this up because it's getting quite long! However, I would like to say my opinion about what will happen next to the boy and girl. I was thinking that the girl could have quite and attitude, but not a very fierce one where she is rude 24/7. One with sarcasm and she kind of always wants her own way. The boy meets her through his sister. Since his sister is blind, she needs a brail tutor (it might be spelled wrong). The girl happens to have a blind brother, younger than she is, and she tutors him when she learned it in.... a club? Idk (somewhere, your smart i bet you could come up with something). The boy notices the girl tutoring his little sister and watches them for a full session and observing how the girl teaches her students. (The girl could be part of a club, like I was saying before, that teaches brail and she goes around and tutors blind children). Now, let me rewind and maybe the boy could "notice" the girl before she comes to his house. The girl could be tutoring ANOTHER one of her students and he takes note of the situation, but doesn't tell his father about the girl. So when he sees her again, he is appalled that she is there and after the girl is done the tutoring she wishes the sister a good night and is about to leave when she turns around and stares at the boy. Of course its an awkward moment, but she says one sentence that turns the boys life around from that moment onward: "How does it feel to lose someone when they are still here?" And that could start a chain reaction of events: the boy asking what she means, the girl explaining, possibly the boy getting annoyed that shes in his personal business... and now you meet the sarcastic personality but she gradually begins to soften up after she learns how the boy coped with the whole mess. Yada, yada, yada.... wow this is long so i hoped i helped!

Should I buy a chihuahua puppy for my 12 year old daughter?

My daughter wants a chihuahua because the are loving companions to play and snuggle with. She understands all that is involved with caring for this breeder in great detail. She has researched heaps about the breed on the internet and has ordered heaps of books about dog care and training from the library.She is not involved in any school activities,does not go out with friends so she has heaps of free time to care for a dog she is willing to spend all her free time with it daily and let it sleep in her lap while she does homework. I know she will spend all her time with it and clean up its messes and has been reading a lot about training dogs.She also knows a lot of information on choosing from a good breeder and has drawn up a feeding and house-training schedule for one. I have heard from reliable sources that your kids do not HAVE to have the shots, and that one could legally say it is for religious reasons. I think you may have to get a note from a pastor possibly. I know several people who never got their kids shots for different reasons. You do have that right.

Thinking about getting a Kindle...would you recommend it?

It's awesome. The books still cost money so I would continue going to the library, but books that will take you longer to read or you want to keep/take somewhere you could get on the kindle. The cool thing about the kindle is that you can download a trial of each book, to read a section and see if you'll like it before buying. The screen is great too, it looks exactly like paper.

In the past four and a half weeks he has not only positively bonded with our roommate's cat (the kitten ernie follows puma the older cat around EVERYWHERE) but he eats out of our hands right away and lets us pet him for a little bit when puma is around. We want to be able to take him on trips with us and get him used to the car because we will be moving across the country and making it a long road trip in 4 months. He watches puma snuggle with the everyone in the apartment and now ernie is not running away when people see him. He is also exploring the house and wants to play ALL THE TIME with anyone who will play with him. I watched a video that said using baby food can help with the petting and holding. He loves the food like no other but he wont let us touch him, he backs away or hisses (he does not bite or scratch.) i want to make sure that we are not going back on any of our progress and if the baby food will actually work or if we should just wait a couple more weeks to see if we approaches. Am I crazy for letting this get to me so much, or is it normal?

Please, no mean comments. My whole life i have always let things get to me. Last night my mom told me a story, and I have been devistated ever since. We were talking about hoow I really don't trust anyone to watch my children (especially guys). I am not sexist, but the only people i will leave my children with ever are my mom and my husbands mom. My mom responded, "yes". and then she told me a story of her best friend in high school who was a nurse for the ER or something who got called to the scene of a baby who was only 6 MONTHS OLD. the baby had been analy raped and his/her splien burst because he was so small, and in the ambulance the baby died in the nurses arms. This story is HORRIFYING. I never knew or had any connections with this baby, but when I heard the story, i burt in to tears. i have been crying on and off, just in hysterics since last night when she told me. I can't stop thinking about it. i am putting a smile on so i don't upset my own children, but it is hard. It is almost physicaly painful to think about this. I feel like I am going to puke, and i feel so helpless that I can do nothing about this, or any of the other terrible thing that happen in this world. I don't know why my mom tells me these stories; she knows how they upset me. This one just put me over the top though. My husband tried coming on to me last night and i felt disgusted becuase I could not stop thinking about his. Is this a normal feeling to have after hearing such an aweful thing, or should i talk to someone about it? Baby won't sleep alone how do I break the habit?

Any one can put him to sleep. But as soon as you put him down he screams. If you put him to sleep in bed and you get out he screams. Example when he is in bed with me and I get up in the middle if the night to pee he screams out. When I lay him in his bed and get in mine he will climb out and come to the edge of my bed crying. And its not just me. He does it with his grandma dad baby sitter... He is nine months. And I can't break the habit . Can you prepare several bottles with frozen breast milk?

I have a 2.5 month old son and he has been breast fed since birth. He doesn't have any problem with bottle feeding as I have introduced them in the last few weeks. Okay, I picked my 2 year old son, 4 year old daughter, and my 1 year old daughter up from their baby sitter's house. We stopped at McDonald's drive thru , ate, drank. We got back in the car and I decided to go to the mall. Eliza (4 y/o) wanted new shoes and a new shirt. So I thought what the heck, let's get 'em all some new clothes!! Well, I had a large drink at McDonald's and felt the need to pee on the ride there. I thought I could hold it. We ran into construction for as long as it took to get my kids asleep. I wasn't just going to turn around and go home now. We live like a 30 minute to an hour away. I waited in traffic and they opened the lanes. Finally I thought! I really felt the pee coming on! I woke the kids up while I was driving and had Eliza unbuckle the other 2. I knew I was about to pee on myself so I ran up to the entrance, thinking they had the bathrooms up there. Sadly for me, they were closed for cleaning. I heard Eliza "Mommy, I have to go potty!" Oh great, I thought. Both of us had to go. She said she couldn't hold it. There we were in the middle of the store both of us running, each pushing a stroller. If you asked me, it looked HILARIOUS! It wasn't though. I stopped. Eliza's eyes widened and she said: Uh oh! She had started to pee on herself. I said Hurry Eliza! Turn around go back to the car. We turned around, hoping I wouldn't humiliate myself. Oh great. I felt a little pee drop out. I started running full speed. I knew I couldn't just grab myself right there to keep it from coming out. There it was. I couldn't hold it any longer. The pee just flowed out of me like Niagara Falls! I was so embarrassed! I was HUMILIATED! Eliza said: Mommy! She started crying and I felt so bad! I may have scarred her for life. What do I do!!???!

Oh yeah, he'll be fine for three days no problem. Whether your other fish will survive HIM for three days, however ... they tend to make a go for their tank mates (if they're small enough) when they haven't been fed for a while. If you have any fish in there that are anywhere near bite-sized (that he hasn't eaten already), I'd put them in a separate tank until you get back.

You don't need to worry about having too much Calcium, I noticed you only had a small cup of Simply Orange, when it's advised you have an 8 ounce glass each day. I suggest switching to Wheat Thins or Kettle Chips rather then Low Sodium Pretzels, as the still contain too much salt in them. You did a good job on making sure you worked your body out. I noticed you mentioned playing Just Dance 2, so I'm going to make another suggestion. I suggest the 20$ game you can buy at WalMart called Exerbeat, it has some good exercises on it. It has Salsa, Mambo, Hip Hop, Aerobics, Yoga, Boxing, Martial Arts, and a few more types on it. it's a really good way to workout your legs and arms. It sounds like you had a good day over all. I suggest you eat a bit more, the standard these days is 3-5 small meals a day every 3-4 hours rather then 3 large meals every 5 hours. You did a good job on the dinner salad and lunch melon slices. There isn't really a problem with having a lot of bread either, having a higher fiber intake will simply help cleanse your body of anything it considers waste, also good job on having grapes and carrots as a snack, rather then unhealthy options.

Is a twenty minute walk really enough excersize for a dog?

Seriously! And what about the adult dogs that are done romping and bouncing around the yard for play, the older dogs that still enjoy wandering around and sniffing out the neighborhood- wouldn't they get excersize that is more suitable for a dog, as opposed to a human, if they were allowed to run free sometimes? Cats are allowed to run free, and being tiny they are hard for a driver to even see. I don't accept that we are protecting our pets from cars as a sound excuse. And most dogs don't bite, if they do the owner know it. Why can't dogs have real freedom like all other animals besides rodents in cages? As far as caged, kept and captive animals it seems that their very existance in the world is illegal unless they are captive, owned by a person. I don't think thats right. I dont think theyre meant to be held in constant captivity. Their bodies will now start to develop poor health and obesity because we try to turn them into one of us. I'm not allowed, by law, to let my dog go enjoy his freedom...even with a gps tracker! He is lethargic on a single thirty minute walk a day. I just can't take the heat outside. He should be allowed to venture out on his own, dogs Live for that kind of freedom.

DCF wants to talk to my son alone?

DCF was called on us earlier this month, all was lies. I let them talk to my son alone (just him and the case worker). They want to do a follow up to see he is a good weight for his age, up to date on shots and stuff. I know they are going to want to talk to him alone again. I didn't/don't have anything to hide so I let him talk to them the first time alone (also didn't think I had an option). I've been reading up on it now though, is it correct that I can have another adult present while they talk to him? For instance, would my dad (child's grandfather) be ok? Or a neighbor that lives across the street from me? I have an appointment in two days to do the follow up talk, not sure what this means, but I assume they want to talk to my son. I only got the message left on my phone by the caseworker, they set up the appointment at 11am for us with two days notice, we have work and that is the time we go to library storytime. I can home from work to find my babysitter giving my toddler coke in her sippy cup. I was so appalled i completely lost my voice as I grab her cup and took her to bathroom and washed her mouth out. I live in Mississippi and will have an elementary education degree, but I want to have this to fall back on since jobs are so scarce these days. I lived in queens all my life and sold my house and moved to Orange County 6 years ago. Gave up my job in the City because of the commute and did not have a baby sitter for my 3 kids- since moving here we have been struggling - and I mean struggling - loss my house - and have had at least a dozen jobs in the six years that I have been here. I have had to have part time jobs as well as full time jobs- none of them pay more than 13.00 an hour and that is the most I have been paid. Up here everything is driving- so not only do I have 2 car payments, insurance, rent and everything else including feeding 3 children with both me and my husband making $13.00 an hour- should I just wave the white flag and move back to queens. I still have family in queens which I miss horribly and my father passed away in december - is it just everything with my dad gone and not having any money - the constant struggling day after day or will it be better for me going back to queens. what is your opinion. What to do about my boss/roommate yelling at her kids all day everyday?

I work as a nanny to 3 kids, and one is very difficult with huge emotional and behavioral issues. I have received numerous compliments from friends and there family on the positive changes that have came about since i have been there nanny. They went through 6 nannies in 3 years, and i am the only one who has stayed and taken an invested roll in the girl, of which i have been told no one else could get along with her. Well my question is, part of my pay, which is i believe to be below minimum wage, is to live at the house, since the mother works 24 hours shifts. I do not make enough to pay to live anywhere else. Well the problem is that the mother yells at the kids all the time, almost 6 to 10 times a day, i hear her yelling, and it seems to always be right outside my bedroom door, or my window, at ground level. I "hide" in my room constantly when the mother is here, part to give them there space, and privacy, and part because i do not enjoy interaction with the mother, because she always asks me to work overtime without pay, and she is always in a bad mood. the yelling is so distracting, and starts as soon as the kids get home from school, or when the whole family gets home from going somewhere. I can barely get anything done, from work, paying bills, all the work people have to keep up on, (looking for a new job), my entire to do list. The family is on vacation this week and i have been so productive with getting stuff done, that i have realized just how bad her yelling is effecting my emotional well being, and productivity. I have tried working in my car, and to hot this time of year, and i go to the library which is the best alternative, but then need to go get food, etc, and end up spending money, and not getting alot done because of people talking, or loud kids at the library. i would appreciate some idea's as to what other people would do in this situation. I am looking for another job, but with this economy it is a bit of a slow process. I feel if my room and board are part of the pay, i should have a right to a peaceful environment, and not have to listen to all that yelling, of which it doesn't take to get the kids to behave, they do just fine, and i NEVER yell at them, so as to show them that isn't the only way to communicate. Also when there mother is here, all the kids yell alot also, and the girl screems all the time, and fights with her brothers, when im on duty and the mother is gone, non of the kids yell, or scream or fight. It is very peaceful when she isnt here, and when she is, you can tell the anxiety of the kids goes through the ceiling, as does mine. If i were to say something to her, what would be appropriate? 5 year old pees on himself on purpose and throws tantrums. I'm so frustrated?

My son is 5 years old. He has been potty trained for almost 2 years. About 3 months ago he wet the bed. I felt horrible for him, told him it would be okay, changed him and sent him back to bed. Well, he has wet the bed about 90% of the time since then but, only at bedtime. Plus he never wets the bed at the sitters, my brothers, his mothers... anywhere but at home. He goes to the restroom before bed. Most times he only urinates a tiny bit in his pants but, it's enough for him to tell me "daddy, I peed my pants". The first month or so I was very compassionate and understanding. The next month I didn't say a word to him when it happened, just changed him and sent him back to bed. Recently I have started making him stand in the corner for a few minutes and then change him. I make him help me clean the mess almost every time. I've tried positive reinforcement, encouragement, silence, punishment... everything I can think of but, he continues to wet the bed. Everything I'm reading online says that very rarely will a child wet himself on purpose but, I'm 99% confident that this is the case. I don't know if he's trying to get attention, if he's trying to test me, if he sees it as an excuse to not go to sleep... I just don't know. Most times it seems like a game to him... he'll have a smile on his face when he tells me he wet himself. I've even went to the extent of threatening to put him back in a diaper at bedtime. He laughs at me Usually, when I threaten something I intend on backing it up but, I just couldn't bring myself to put him back in a diaper. He was crying and I felt like it wasn't the right thing to do. I'm at a loss and hope ya'll have some good advice for me. Thanks for your time, much appreciated.

Daycares charge about 650 a month so she's dang lucky.You are better off sending him to a daycare for cheaper where people actually know what they are doing! Babies are going to be collicky and fussy...she's 19. I would fire her and get someone with experience who can handle a 3 month old and figure out what's wrong and what to do when he's fussing rather than quit. "The 3 month old is too fussy" makes me chuckle. What baby isn't fussy at sometime? I would seriously find someone with experience, she's not cut out for the job it seems like to me.

Barn cats, for example, are feral. Just because they didn't originate here doesn't mean they can't be wild. ALL of the horses running loose didn't escape from someone's farm somewhere. Some of the horses out there are feral, but many are still wild horses. I am in a semi happy marriage for almost 6 years and have two kids ages 2 and 4. I have noticed that for the last year I have been unhappy in my marriage. I keep wanting more out of my life but my husband won't allow for any changes like getting a baby sitter so one or both of us can go out and have some fun or alone time. When I ask for money to buy clothes for the kids he always tells me there is no money and he needs me to give him some. On the other side he does almost anything I ask for like brings me a towel if i was in a hurry in the morning and forgot to get one and little things like that and he can be very sweet. I just recently got a new job and one of the ppl working at my new job is an old crush I had all through high school (Leo). My husband and i split up for a while and in that time Leo and I had an intimate moment. Leo has been telling me that he loves me and wants to take care of me and my kids. I am not one to lie and i have told my husband about all of this and he has given me till Friday to decide who i want to be with. Leo is someone that I can relate to and talk about anything and i can laugh with him. We have a lot of history together. I watched my friends betta for a little bit and it was so easy to care for it was ridiculous. the tank had a little filter and a light and you just dropped in a few little pellets a day. How to stop my husbands ex wife's slander?

My husbands ex wife has been making awful statements about him on a social network. They have been apart for 3 years and divorced for 2 and she just can't leave him alone. They have two children together, so there is no way to simply ignore her. She makes statements such as he is a deadbeat father who never wants his kids around, and lately has been making harassing statements about our unborn child and our relationship. She says things such as he will walk out on us and go impregnate a new wife, and that my child will be all messed up because we are his parents. I have her blocked simply so I don't have to look at any messages from her, however she puts this stuff everywhere on different peoples pages so everyone in the world looks at it. Today she did the post that the father is a deadbeat thing because he won't take his kids, while we were in a meeting with his army recruiter trying to better his life and career for them and us. It's not even one of his days, she just wants to go out and can't afford a sitter. This is getting painful, and annoying. Picking on my unborn son has crossed my line. We are getting phone calls from friends about these statements she is making. I can't talk with her, and neither can my husband because she is so out of control and unreasonable, she just posts more afterwards. Oh, also she never uses our names, she hints at who we are ( everyone knows what she means) so I don't think I can get her with slander or defamation of character. Snakes and reptiles are not domesticated, dogs are. Though they may have been born in captivity they are not tame like a dog is and likely never will be. Snakes also eat mice and rats which people think is cruel especially live. It doesn't matter how much you take care of it, in a non-snake lovers eyes its cruel to own snakes as they eat mice and other animals.

Hello. Well my mom was out mowing the lawn when she almost ran over a little tiny baby snail. (About half-size of a pea.) I find it really cute and want to keep it. Windows 7 startup repair deleting my game?

I just installed rise and fall civillizations at war, which in order to install I had to copy files onto the harddrive from my disks. Right after it installed fine it said it needed to install additional libraries (which is normal for this game) along with a needed reboot (also normal) after the reboot windows startup repair pops up, takes forever, and deletes my game. How can I fix this? (And I can't get around the repair, cancelling early makes u restart and cancelling aftr a couple minutes cause it to say it cannot be cancelled)
