How protective were/are you over your babies?

Neither of us are particularly protective about everyday stuff - little bumps and bruises are all part of their development. But my heart was in my mouth when I found my daredevil 14mth old daughter had a) learned to climb up the really high climbing frame at the soft play centre and b) was quite happy to chuck herself headfirst down the chute meant for the big kids!
