I've heard that a cheetah raised in captivity will never be able to return to the wild. Why?

To survive in the wild, a cheetah has to learn to run fast after prey over a fair distance. It's just not possible to replicate those conditions in captivity so a cheetah raised in captivity won't be prepared to make it in the wild. It won't get sufficient experience, exercise and limb muscle development. As for the others, I just heard they're dangerous when released into the wild, partly because of less fear of humans.
